Norbert Lechner, Prof. Emeritus, Architect, and LEED AP, is an expert in energy responsive architectural design with an emphasis on solar responsive design including passive solar, shading, and daylighting. His book, Heating, Cooling, Lighting: Design Methods for Architects, 4th edition, © 2015, John Wiley & Sons, is used in architecture schools all over the world, and is popular with professionals. The book has been translated into 5 languages.

 

Prof. Lechner is the inventor of new types of heliodons that are invaluable for teaching and designing solar responsive buildings. Besides being an invited speaker in the United States, he has been invited to speak in the following countries: Canada; Thailand 4 times; Korea 5 times; China 3 times; Malaysia 3 times; Hong Kong; Singapore; Indonesia; Japan; Philippines; UAE; Iran; Brazil, Ecuador, Italy; Finland; Estonia; Macedonia; Turkey; Pakistan 2 times; and the UK 2 times.
